A 'consultation' sounds very serious, but trust me, I'm a doctor (ugh, I'm sorry). The idea is simply to either have a relatively informal chat, or a lesson via the information superhighway. The lessons can be extremely flexible - we can work on a specific area, or simply use it as a Q&A and work to solve the niggling issues and questions that you haven't been able to find answers to. Whether you're working at home on a laptop, or preparing to record a live band in a fancy studio, I can help.

I've given 'Masterclass' lectures at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and tutored students during and after my PhD, as well 'in person' one-to-one sessions on music production, so you're in safe hands.

For some people, they need to focus on simply being an artist, songwriter, or musician. For others, they want to learn to record/mix/produce their own music and that's fine too - I'm the same way - but there are tons of challenges that doing so throws up. It's not easy and perspective is one of the biggest hurdles, but I've managed to figure out a good workflow on how to wear various hats while working on your music, and retaining your sanity. It's not easy, but it's possible. We can cover any of the following topics:

  • Music Production Techniques (Electronic or Live Music)
  • Recording/Engineering
  • Mixing / Mastering
  • Music Composition & Arrangement
  • Logic X
  • Native Instruments (e.g. Kontakt / Maschine)
  • Guitar Tuition (beginner to advanced)
  • Synth and Drum Programming

Or, whatever you wish to discuss, Sire.

Get in touch via the form above (or email) and we’ll agree on a day and time to do the lesson. Once we schedule a suitable time for lessons, I’ll send you an invoice via PayPal (you'll get an email). From there you can make the payment from your bank account or credit/debit card. If you need to miss a scheduled lesson after payment we can simply reschedule.

And for your convenience, we’ll send you a Paypal invoice to remind you when payment is due.

The lessons are extremely flexible. The lessons can be used whenever you wish.  For example, we can do one lesson this week, then the next lessons in 3 weeks, then the next lessons two weeks after, etc. It’s up to you. The schedule is left flexible so that you can get the most out of the lessons and time in between to work on the material.  Plus, you’re not charged for missed lessons (as long as at least 24 hours notice is given), we’ll simply reschedule.  While lessons can be used/rescheduled within that 4-month range, no refunds are given.

  • $50 for 30 mins
  • $75 for 60 mins
  • $200 for a 4 x 60 min lessons (i.e 4 for the price of 3)

It's in USD because most online requests come from the USA. This translates to around £35 / £55 / £145, respectively.

If you're on PC, we can use Skype - you'll need a mic and webcam. If you're confused about your set up, send me a message and I'll help you get set up. If you’re on an Mac, we use can FaceTime or Skype. I find Skype offers the best quality/resolution, but you'll already have FaceTime on your Mac/Tablet/Phone. Any modern Mac will have a built-in webcam, mic and speakers.

We can even use your tablet iPhone or Android for face-to-face calls or - shock horror - speak over the phone!

I'm based in the UK and can work at any time you'd like - even after midnight for those on the West Coast of the USA, for example. Sleep is for the weak, I don't believe in it, making me quite flexible (time wise, not physically).

Sure, get in touch. I'm usually in Cardiff, and very occasionally in London. We can work something out!
